Fabulous Freelancer Friday: Musings and Job Postings for the Week of 5/6/19-5/10/19

Welcome to another Fabulous Freelancer Friday, everyone! I continue to be inspired and exceptionally grateful for your support 🙂


  • Don’t get me wrong, DVRs and streaming services are obviously much more efficient than having to actually tape things on video cassettes, but I miss the strategy of it all. I think the last time I actually taped something must have been my freshman year of college.
    • While watching BBC America (which is probably the only live news I actually watch as opposed to read), I learned about Marion Stokes, who spent three decades recording news segments, 24-hours a day.
      • Her story is being told in a new documentary, Recorder: The Marion Stokes Project.
      • Marion was definitely a polarizing sort of person regarding much of her personal beliefs. However, everyone would probably agree that her quest to capture the validity within how any given news segment was portrayed (and the same story could differ wildly) is a topic that’s exceptionally important today.
  • As for Game of Thrones, I’m just going to leave this right here:
