Whether as a standalone offering, or a complement to a favorite beverage, this delightfully sweet strawberry streusel muffins recipe is a must-try!

Ingredients for the muffins:
- 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- ½ cup of sugar
- 1 large beaten egg
- ½ cup of milk
- ½ cup of melted butter or margarine
- 1 cup of sliced fresh strawberries
Ingredients for the streusel topping:
- ½ cup of sugar
- ¼ cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons of melted butter or margarine
Directions:
- Prepare the streusel topping by mixing all of its ingredients together in a small bowl; set aside.
- Combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Make a well in the center of this dry mixture.
- Combine the egg, butter, and milk, then add it to the dry ingredients, stirring until it’s just moistened, then fold in the strawberries.
- Spoon the batter into a paper-lined muffin pan, filling each ¾ full.
- Sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over each muffin batter allotment.
- Bake the muffins at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes.
- Cool the muffins for 10 minutes in the pan, which should be set on top of a wire rack.
- Remove the muffins from the pan, then allow to additionally cool completely on the wire rack before serving.
