Fabulous Freelancer Friday: Musings and Job Postings for the Week of 6/1/20-6/5/20

Friday is upon us, freelancers! I hope each of you are safe, well, and focused on creating a brighter future.

  • The blessing of each new day is that it can bring a promise of healing and helping. Take, for example, the poignant story in Oklahoma of educator Drew Rhodes and Sergeant Amy Hanson.
    • While attending a protest, Drew approached a barricade: “I had my fist up, but my shoulders got heavy and I just brought the fist down to an open hand, because I don’t want to lead in hatred.”
      • Drew was offering to pray with protesters and police alike, and Sergeant Amy Hanson was the one who accepted.
    • The two held hands over the top of the barricade, an emotional moment that was beautifully captured in a photo.
      • Sergeant Hanson said of the experience, “To know that he truly cared about us and wanted to see a difference, a change in things, it meant a lot to be prayed over like that.”
    • Drew summed everything up perfectly with these words, “We want to be seen soul first, not skin first.”

Please do your own due diligence before officially applying to any and all job postings!
