  • As we edge ever closer to the presidential elections here in the United States, I’m reminded of what has been among the most poignant words ever spoken by a politician.
    • Indeed, though, Congressman John Lewis, one of the original civil rights leaders, transcended the trappings of office and left behind a cherished legacy that we must honor by living lives of “good trouble.” We must live and forgive, moving forward in a unified purpose.

      • Two favorite quotes from his essay include, “I urge you to answer the highest calling of your heart,” and “Walk with the wind, brothers and sisters, and let the spirit of peace and the power of everlasting love be your guide.”
